Speaker: Dr Galen Erickson, Nebraska Cattle Industry Professor of Animal Science & Beef Feedlot Extension Specialist and Dr Scott Reynolds, DVM.

Speakers for the meeting will be Galen Erickson, Nebraska Cattle Industry Professor of Animal Science & Beef Feedlot Extension Specialist, University of Nebraska - Lincoln and Dr. Scott Reynolds, DVM. They will speak about carbon credit programs and the current UNL research project that is focused on how much greenhouse gas levels change in different grazing systems. The study is designed to measure greenhouse gases and recommend practices to ranchers to positively affect greenhouse gas levels. This research and information will provide information that can be used to help ranchers negotiate carbon credit contracts. They also want to tell the story of climate smart beef production and responsible land stewardship.
