WHO IS NEBRASKA CATTLEMEN?

Nebraska Stockgrowers began in 1888 and later merged with Nebraska Livestock Feeders Association, and Nebraska Feedlot Council to form Nebraska Cattlemen in 1988. Nebraska Cattlemen is a grass roots membership policy organization – governed by the NC Board of Directors and is committed to protecting the interests of Nebraska’s beef cattle producers at the local, state, and federal level. Nebraska Cattlemen’s mission statement is to work on behalf of Nebraska cattle producers – pasture to plate.

CORE IDEALS

  • Provide a strong voice for the cattle community at the local, state, and federal levels
  • Promote policies to protect Nebraska beef producers’ freedom to operate and improve their prospects for prosperity, sustainability, and profitability
  • Provide necessary resources to members in their continuing quest to be world-class beef producers
